Eminent Polish stage director, actor, unforgettable pedagogue, and director of many theater companies, Zygmunt Hübner was a part of the political reality, but he was also able to formulate an autonomous voice in the grim reality of communist Poland. This documentary is also a tribute to the vision of theatre proposed by Hübner, a no-nonsense institution inviting the viewer to a conversation and devoted to the issues important for society. It was the “theatre that gets involved”.
