Thumb of the Tiger

This is the story of Stefan Drehmeister (Markus Giefing), an old, worn down thumb wrestling coach, who is fondly called „Coach Steve“ by his friends and colleagues.
He dedicated his whole life to the thumb wrestling sport, until he got suspended and had to retreat from public life, because of a dubious doping affair in 2006.
Now 10 years later, his suspension is over and he finally is allowed to come back. Together with his new protege Klaus (pro wrestler Peter White) and with the help of his self invented training methods, he is targeting the Austrian Championship, to compete against the best thumb wrestlers in the country.
At the tournament everything goes as planned, until his eternal rival King Gustl, shows up with his new fighter Cyborg, who defeats Klaus in a devastating and humiliating manner.
Nevertheless Coach Steve bounces back and accepts the challenge by King Gustl for a final „all or nothing“ fight.
Therefore he calls upon his old student and former champion Lukas Niedevsky, to fight for him.
Unfortunately Lukas leads a withdrawn life in the meantime, formed his own yoga school in the countryside and renounces violence in any form...
Will Coach Steve be able to convince Lukas to return to the ring and thumb wrestle the superior Cyborg?
