The rise and fall of a blind artist who has the extraordinary gift of making truthful portraits just by listening to human voices, and becomes a trash TV star. A fable about the need to rediscover the miraculous power of dignity in a world where the noise of the media has solved the problem of man's imperfection by simply eliminating the problem itself. Emanuele is an elderly man, solitary and blind, with a great gift: the ability to portray anyone simply by hearing their voice . No one knows this "magic", except his social worker Pola and the students at the evening school where he teaches charcoal portraiture. His life is turned upside down when Pola introduces him to two African immigrants: Maria, a widow who came to Italy hoping for a better future, and her daughter Iaia. The two move in with him, taking care of the house in exchange. One evening, Iaia records the old man while she is drawing a portrait of him and uploads the video online. The “magic” goes viral in a very short time . Emanuele is noticed by the "Talent Circus", a television show that discovers extraordinary talents that he exploits for the audience.
