Brief synopsis
Illegal timber trade is a billion-dollar business. High returns and little pressure to prosecute are a magical attraction for organized crime. Last year alone, there was no proof of origin for 120 million tons of timber in Europe. At the same time, deforestation is one of the biggest causes of the climate problem with the greenhouse gas CO2. Johannes Musial embarks on a risky investigation in Cambodia, Romania and Germany - twice Musial barely escapes unscathed.
