Michael Throne

Michael Throne, who grew up in Hof in Bavaria, completed an apprenticeship as a media designer for image and sound at Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk in Leipzig after graduating from high school. He graduated with honors as the best student in the state.

After studying digital media with a focus on video at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, he studied Cinematography at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg from 2015 to 2023 and took part in international exchange programs in the USA (UCLA) and France (La Femis) as part of his training.

Today he lives in Hamburg. His camera work is not limited to specific genres. In recent years, he has worked on feature films, documentaries, commercials, animation and VR projects and has been represented at national and international festivals.
