MEÑAKOZ FILMS is a production company created in 2007 by Fernando Victoria de
Lecea to give international media projects the necessary service to shoot in Spain
Fernando VICTORIA DE LECEA is currently a Line Producer and Executive Producer for productions services in Spain, especially French ones.
He started working on audiovisual productions in Bilbao in the early 1980’s, and after fifteen years working as a freelance producer, in 1997 he founded his first production company. He produced "LA CAJA 507” (Goya Award for Best Line Producer in 2003), and "LA VIDA MANCHA”, both films directed by Enrique Urbizu. He also produced "MALAS TEMPORADAS”, a film directed by the award winning director Manuel Martín Cuenca.
Aside from Urbizu and Martìn Cuenca, he has worked with many Spanish directors such as Carlos Saura, Julio Medem, Juanma Bajo Ulloa, Agustín Dïaz Yanes, Pablo Berger, Álvaro Fernández Armero or Antonio Mercero. On international productions he has worked with directors such as Wes Anderson, Jacques Audiard, Jean-Jacques Annaud, Olivier Mégaton, Nicole Garcia or Fred Cavayé, among others.
He is the Line Producer for the film with a provisional title, "ASTEROID CITY”, directed by Wes Anderson, which was shot in the Summer of 2021 in the Madrid towns of Chinchón and Colmenar de Oreja. He was also Line Producer for the film "THE SISTERS BROTHERS”, directed by Jacques Audiard, during its shooting in Spain in 2017 in different locations in Aragón, Navarra and Almería.
He is a founding member and, currently, President of PROFILM (Spanish International Audiovisual Production Companies); and also, a founding member of APPA (Audiovisual Production Professionals Association: an umbrella association for line producers, unit managers, cost controllers and 1st assistant directors), in addition to being Member of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
