Brief synopsis

It was the reformers, above all Martin Luther, who changed the image of women at the beginning of the modern era. For Luther tested the values and norms of his time on the Bible. And he arrived at a partly completely new evaluation of the female sex: Women and men are of equal value - Luther claimed and spread it throughout the empire. How does Martin Luther change, how does the Reformation change the position and image of women? The film places Catherine's life and her work in their time. Author Gabriele Rose deals with the fate of Catherine as well as the moving fates of other women of that time.
