Laurette 1942, une volontaire au camp du Récébédou

Summer 1942. Laurette Monet, a young Protestant and theology student in France's zone sud, joins the CIMADE (Comité Inter Mouvenants Auprès des Evacués), a group looking after evacuees. All energy and innocence, the nineteen-year-old discovers Récébédou internment camp at a moment when major deportations are underway. Laurette accompanies and protects people interned by the Vichy government: German, Austrian and Hungarian Jews, anti-Nazis deported by Hitler, antifascists, Spanish republicans or resistant fighters, people considered undesirable by Marshal Pétain's police. Confronted by the horror of these antechambers of the Final Solution, this humanitarian Protestant, a woman like any other woman, joins the Resistance.
