Marlon is currently doing a voluntary social year and regularly plays "World of Tanks" in between. By chance, he meets his neighbor Kurt one day. The charming, widowed 95-year-old is a veteran of the Second World War. Despite the difference in age, the two become friends.
Marlon's roommates quickly join the duo: Ana, a Ukrainian illustrator, and Leslie, a psychology student with a penchant for self-therapy, whose father lives in the USA.
Their conversations turn into an emotional ride through traumatic experiences that makes all four of them realize how important real friendships and intergenerational exchange are.
