Born as an only child in St. Pölten. Parents divorced for as long as I can remember. My mother is esoteric, my father communist. He is Kurdish, she is mixed Austrian. I went to a Catholic elementary school, spent four years at grammar school and completed my mandatory schooling at the Hauptschule St. Georgen; no Matura.
I was a mechanic, plumber, warehouse worker at Spar, delivery driver on night duty, personal trainer, investment representative.
I never felt particularly comfortable in my culture, and certainly not in my home town. For me, Vienna was an escape from the inevitable dreariness. If I had stayed at home, I would be addicted to gambling today. Next stop before 2025 - Berlin.
My first unconscious contact with acting was in the army; of necessity. Then drama school in Vienna for a year, another one filled with workshops, before I was rather unintentionally accepted to the Max Reinhardt Seminar. I hate school. Back then, I thought I'd hit it big before I graduated. 2015 was my first time in the theater.
I'm generally an anarchist, although that mellows with the years, justice probably means the most to me. I'm uncontrollably creative, extreme, consistent, intelligent, completely unserious in my private life, have an opinion on everything and am prone to depression.
I've never fit in anywhere; that's probably one of my best qualities.
Techno music makes me escape, Cinema Paradiso is my favorite movie, Bowie is alive and if I could write like Joan Didion, I'd be dead already.
