Brief synopsis
San Michele is a frontier prison where warden Bruno Testori applies his personal idea of justice: state law does not exist in here, because he is the law. Ruthless with those who deserve it, but also merciful when necessary, Bruno identifies with the derailed biographies of the inmates, because he himself is a man broken by life.
