Ewa Teilmans

Ewa Teilmans studied acting and directing at the UDK Berlin, Berlin University of the Arts. After receiving her acting UDK diploma in 1983, she had her first engagements at the Academy of Arts in Berlin, the stages of the city of Bonn and at the Junges Theater Berlin. In the following years she worked as an actress, director and author on numerous stages and worked as an acting teacher.

From 1988 to 1991 she took over the management of the Reutlinger Theater in der Tonne. Between 1992 and 1999 she worked as a freelance actress and director in the musical theater and acting departments at various theatres and opera houses. From 1999 to 2006, Ewa Emily Teilmans was director of the Wolfgang Borchert Theater in Münster, where she was also responsible for acting, singing, directing and premieres.
Until the 2022/23 season, she worked as a freelance, mostly at the Aachen Theatre.
