A crime series based on the short stories by Marek Krajewski, the setting of which are pre- and postwar Lviv and Wrocław. The main character is Edward Popielski, a detective inspector of extraordinary intellect and physical strength, who is tormented by visions caused by epilepsy attacks, which he uses to his advantage in investigations. He works as an officer of the law but actually operates outside of it. Just like the Erinyes that most desire revenge, Popielski has no mercy in the brutal criminal world he lives in. Erinyes is not only a crime series but also a picture of Borderlands and postwar Poland. Its vibrant plot provides great entertainment and shows the multicultural and beautiful lands that disappeared behind the eastern border.
