Brief synopsis
11-year-old Maria and her mother Lilibeth live on the edge of Nicaragua's largest garbage dump, which they scavenge for usable material during the day. When a lucrative deal falls through, Lilibeth puts her daughter to work at a recycling center. She herself goes into town to raise money, but never returns. Maria befriends a mysterious boy. And one day sets out to find her missing mother.
