In October 2022, BIOTOPIA Lab invited to a 2-day festival - around the theme of sensory perception of humans and animals. The BIOTOPIA Lab is a foretaste of the upcoming BIOTOPIA Natural History Museum Bavaria, which will expand the recently closed Museum Mensch und Natur in the beautiful Botanical Garden in Munich. So while the new museum is still a little ways off, you can indulge in the natural sciences up close and personal in advance at BIOTOPIA Lab. So it's literally science at your fingertips.
In keeping with the motto, the festival was all about experiencing how sensory perception differs between humans and animals. Whether it is the sense of smell, the sense of touch or the sense of sight: humans and animals perceive the environment differently. It was precisely these differences that were explored at the event. In the BIOTOPIA Lab, for example, visitors could look at the world through the eyes of an animal using specially designed glasses. A particularly spectacular experience for young and old. With this event, the BIOTOPIA Lab was able to plan a successful highlight that sweetened the waiting time until the opening of the museum and directly whetted the appetite for more.
We were delighted to be on site for the event and have to say: we learned a lot ourselves and can hardly wait to visit the museum when the expansion opens.
