Brief synopsis
Unscrupulous profiteers are destroying our nature: they are cutting down forests in Ukraine, wiping out fish stocks in the Atlantic off Ghana and killing tiger cubs in captivity in the USA.
Consumers no longer know: are they sitting on chairs made of illegally cut wood, or are they eating fish caught by mafia networks?
The environmental mafia operates globally and in secret and is difficult to detect. Johan von Mirbach and Jan-Philipp Scholz travel to the crime scenes. In the Ukraine, the USA and Ghana they penetrate deeper and deeper into a perfidious system of corruption, money laundering and intimidation - and in the process come across a murder case that has been covered up.
