Brief synopsis
Finland, especially in the snowy winter, is of imposing beauty and one of the last wild regions of Europe. High in the north lies Lapland, by far the most sparsely populated region of Finland. Less than two people live here per square kilometer. Around 180,000 people - and just as many reindeer. In Finland's far north, winter means a special challenge for the population - but the Finns wouldn't be Finns if they didn't take it with a large portion of humor and craziness.
