    Brief synopsis

It’s a very peculiar week for Paula, Betty, Charlotte, and Sandy, four friends of various ages, who work for an important Parisian newspaper and get together in the work cafeteria almost every day.
Paula, the oldest amongst them, is researcher. We learn that she is married at the end of the film.
Charlotte, an editor, is divorced and the mother of a little boy who has gone to summer camp. She has just broken up with a man who lived at her place for several years.
Eighteen-year-old Sandy is a switchboard operator. She still lives at home with her parents, and her brother and sister.
Betty, a press photographer, lives alone and travels a lot. She suggests to her friends a daring plan to stave off their physical loneliness in a most radical way.
They’re going to seek out some casual playmates, toy boys, to be precise, male prostitutes. This quadruple escapade will take place on the same day, to give each of them the courage and boldness to see their plan through…
