Solange (11) and Claudia (13), two friends from Maracai, a small town in the interior of Brazil, work as prostitutes in Sao Paulo. Night after night they stand at the sparsely lit Rio Branco. Up to six clients can be endured, they are available for about 8 Euros and earn the average monthly wage of a Brazilian in one night. Solange and Claudia are housed in makeshift accommodation with the women who have the "baby stroke" under control. Solange and Claudia, who at first talk laconically and seemingly satisfied about their new life in Sao Paulo, suddenly see in the documentary filmmaker a chance to escape the city and prostitution. But while the filmmaker talks to the two girls about a possible escape, the pimp and her male companion suddenly appear. It comes to rough fights.
