Heaven’s Meadow

It’s night on the Heaven Meadow on the outskirts of Vienna. Injured and barefoot, Maya runs back home to the city. Rather than falling apart, she takes off to Italy to see Daniel. She is hoping that there she can forget. That somewhere in the distance and the closeness, she can reinvent herself. Refusing to be a victim. Maya tries suppress so that she doesn’t have to remember. She’s telling lies to escape the truth. Daniel doesn’t know what had happened to her in Vienna. But the Maya who came to see him is not the one he used to know. The more she tries to regain control of her life, the further away she‘s drifting. Like an unanchored island.
