The southern part of Nuremberg: A world characterized by social insecurity, violence and cultural diversity. During a workshop "Creative Writing" at a lower secondary school poetry slammer Lucas Fassnacht tries to make five teenagers understand, that they have something interesting to tell. The aim is clear: Omar, Kathi, Alida, Giselle and Nadine are going to perform, with their own texts in front of a large audience. But ahead there is a long and winding road: Again and again the pupils have to fight against private problems, the temptation of smartphones, school stress and their own resignation. Slowly they discover a fascination for the stage and their own creativity. Their personal stories develop a force and authenticity that you wouldn't expect.
