      Brief synopsis


      The "Dwarf Garden of Mirabell" is known as an unique cultural monument, that has never been adressed in a TV-documentary up to now. The Dwarf Garden, which is located in the Baroque Mirabell Parks in the City of Salzburg, is the largest collection of Baroque dwarf sculptures made of marble worldwide and it is part of the UNESCO world heritage. The grotesque sculptures are made of „Untersberg“ marble and have been created in the 17th century by the famous Baroque architect Fischer von Erlach. Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world are visting this unique monument year by year. Unfortunately most of them neither know where these scupltures are coming from nor understand their meaning.

      For the first time the TV-documentary "The Dwarf Garden of Mirabell - Finest Art made of Marble" gives answers to the mysteries around the dwarves by looking at the origin, the presence and the future of the extraordinary sculptures. Well known experts of science, arts, history and historic preservation are talking about the secrets about the Dwarf Garden in Salzburg, alongside with first class HD footage, excellent Baroque music and breathtaking acrobatics.
