What with his troubles with the tax office, his legal battle to have custody of his daughter, and a stalled career, Jean-Claude Van Damme decides to leave the frenetic pace of Los Angeles behind and move to Brussels. His morale is in the doldrums and his credit card in the red. Just when he thinks he's sheltered from the storm, the final blow rains down: his lawyer threatens to dump him if he doesn't hurry up and pay his fees. His agent accepts to send him a cash advance on his future pay; Van Damme goes to the post office to pick up the money. In vain. Shots ring out, the doors slam behind him, the security blind comes down: for JCVD the day will be very, very long.
