Brief synopsis
Only a few exhibitions surprise the visitors more than one about Art Brut. Art Brut is booming on the market as well as at art fairs, major art events and exhibitions such as the Documenta or the Biennale. But artists of Art Brut have not yet arrived in society. They can not study at universities or hire a studio. The are not represented in most galleries and curated by only a few museums. Although the market for Art Brut is booming. How does this discrepancy occur? The film follows this question. To understand the context, we speak with a private collector of Art Brut, the head of an Art Brut museum and a gallery owner.
The film accompanies artists in their work, which focuses on the exhibition on the film, and document phases of their artistic process.
