The 80 minute film takes the viewer on a journey through a world that Didi Contractor brings to life with clay, bamboo, slate and river stones. We meet people from India’s north that live in the realized visions of the 86 year old architect and share in their enthusiasm to carry forward her fascinating ideas.
The houses are uniquely designed for each inhabitant and are constructed under holistic consideration of ecology and economics. We discover the building materials she uses and their impact on the people living within these creations. People come from all over the world to discover and understand how Didi Contractor works.
