At the foot of a steep mountain live the brothers Anton and Rudolf. A road winds its way up the mountain. It is the brothers' livelihood, because from time to time a car is thrown off a dangerous curve and crashes. The occupants are killed instantly. Rudolf repairs the cars and sells them, Anton finds his fulfillment in burying the victims and writing eulogies. After each accident, he sends a petition to the Ministry of Transport to point out the danger. But nothing happens. Twenty-four accidents have already happened, but on the twenty-fifth everything is different: the first time the driver survives and the brothers are shocked to discover that it is the responsible ministerial director from the Ministry of Transport...
