About Saman Giraud
Saman Giraud was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, to Iranian parents, Giraud's cultural tapestry enriches her performances, seamlessly blending into characters with authenticity. Fluent in four languages, on a native level, her global upbringing is a testament to her versatility and unique perspective.
Her artistic journey began at the age of 13 in a play by Johann Nestroy. She played the leading role: a boy called Willibald.
Giraud moved to New York City to attend the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute and decided to stay. She spent seven transformative years in the city, working her way up and even creating her debut project, "M4-My Many Married Men," a film she wrote, co-directed, and produced, earning her several awards, including her first "Best Actress" accolade.
She has since worked with Netflix, ZDF, ARD, and ORF only to name a few. As well as notable directors such as David Schalko and Christopher Schier, Lars Becker and Katina Medina-Mora.
