Josef Mohamed

Josef Mohamed was born in the Tyrol and completed his acting training (MA) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (Austria). He lives as a freelance actor in Zurich and the Tyrol.
Josef worked in front of the camera for the feature film "Why not you" by Evi Romen (2020), Germany's most beloved crime series "Tatort" (2018), different austrian TV-Series and more feature and short films. 2023 Josef shoots the feature films "Maysoon" (cinema) by Nancy Biniadaki and "Steirerlist" (TV) by Wolfgang Murnberger.
In his theater career, he has made guest appearances at e.g.: the Municipal Theater in Basel, the Schauspielhaus in Vienna and Graz, Municipal Theater and Orchestra Biel Solothurn, Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen (Municipal Theater of Bolzano), Municipal Theater Fürth, Kampnagel Hamburg, Kosmos Theater Vienna, Swiss theaters Winkelwiese and Effingerstrasse and repeatedly at Junges Schauspielhaus Zurich (Young Swiss National Theater).
In his collaboration with the artist Than Hussein Clark, he has been featured in play developments at Liste Art Fair Basel (2015), Studio Hrdinů in Prague (2015), List Visual Arts Center at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston (2016), and Parcours at Art Basel (2017) and has been a member of the international ensemble the director's theater writer's theater since 2015.
