Anna-Katharina Samsel

Winning 3 World Championships and several German National roller skating titles, Anna-Katharina became used to performing under high pressure at an early age.

Feeling very drawn to acting, she was accepted to a Drama Conservatory in 2005, which she graduated from a couple of years later. Her skating skills helped her book the first role she ever auditioned for, which was the series lead on the long running German show "Alles was zählt" (think NBC's "Friday Night Lights" meets "I, Tonya"). Airing on the largest network in Germany, RTL, it was broadcast in 7 European countries. While working on the show for 6 seasons, Anna-Katharina won "Best Actress" for her starring role 'Katja Bergmann'.

Meanwhile, Anna-Katharina booked further guest and recurring guest star roles on other TV shows and supporting roles in films. In one such film, "Schutzengel", she shared the big screen with one of Germany's greatest stars - actor / director / producer Til Schweiger. At the time, it was the highest budget German film ever produced. Having been a great collaboration, Til hired her again for his next motion picture, the highly successful comedy "Kokowääh 2".

These achievements led to her receiving a U.S. GreenCard as an 'Artist Of Extraordinary Ability', which allowed her to pursue a career in the American entertainment industry as well.

Born in Germany to Russian parents and having constantly traveled around the world due to her professional skating career, she has picked up and perfected several European accents. Being so versatile with her language skills, acting colleagues kindly refer to her as the female Peter Stormare. She speaks American English flawlessly and now resides both in the U.S. and Germany.
