Typing the Secret Code, a film in the series Provided It Ends Well directed by Fabrizio Costa, tells the story of Dr. Alberico Ferretti (Neri Marcorè), a psychologist who became famous after the publication of his highly successful book, "Typing the Secret Code." It is a manual that proposes methods to cure the vice of avarice, but in truth the man hides a terrible secret: he is a chronic cheapskate. Now that he has become a true VIP, thanks to sales, Alberico must try to hide his true nature as a miser, because any slightest misstep could reveal the lie and hype put up by the doctor.
It is a pity that Ferretti, besides being stingy, is also a great scrounger and, taking advantage of the hospitality offered to him by Countess Vanini, he thus manages to hide himself from the gazes of onlookers in order to start writing a new book. In this way, the man can write in peace and without taking out a single penny for his livelihood. An encounter with a woman named Beatrice (Valeria Bilello), the owner of a bistro, will turn the tables on him, as the psychologist falls madly in love with her...
